A vet or even a nurse is not considered a suitably qualified person to undertake this exposure. Therefore they are breaking the law. The exposure of animals to ionising radiation is governed by the Ionising Radiation Regukations. Also part of your local rules will state that you are not to expose other members of staff to ionising radiation. The correct procedure was followed by the RPS and this serve as a warning to others in the future. This may sound petty but leave it to the professionals who are suitably qualified to undertake the examination. Also what are you going to do if you spot something. Turn up at A&amp;E and say I&#39;ve broken my foot cos I&#39;ve x-rated it...,,</p>
