I agree with Sal; however would add that a public debate involving various entities (not just the veterinary profession) which encompasses varying views, frank discussions and offers up the opportunity to debunk wrong information might lead to a healthy review of both the wider and narrower issues. This, is my opinion, is favourable as it seems likely to be more productive / create more publicity and public awareness and understanding than just an internal (to our profession) debate/review. What does anyone else think?

I do agree that the RCVS should face closer scrutiny in the future because as things are now something isn't working. Are the PSA the most appropriate body to be doing this? - probably not. Do I think that Unite should be involved in any way DEFINITELY NOT.
