but until it becomes statutory for all those nursing animals to have some form of qualification nothing is going to change. Its alright regulating the nursing staff that have trained and qualified but then there is no regulatory process for the majority of nursing staff that haven't. I notice from this post that 'the statutory regulation of VNs is widely supported by the veterinary nursing profession and the public' but there is no mention of veterinary surgeons in there and until the vets are on board with this as well its a waste of time.

'The nation's animals and owners deserve better than the current situation' - well the veterinary nurses have deserved better for decades .... and guess what we are still waiting

It's taken the RCVS a long time to get on board with this. Could of done with their help back in 2010.
