&lt;p&gt;I do agree that the people recommending and dispensing these medications must be qualified. I can&amp;#39;t believe vet nurse can&amp;#39;t prescribe/recommend meds when someone in a pet shop can!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Surely RVN&amp;#39;s are taught more about parasitology in their nursing course and its easier to check with a vet on the premises than shop sqp&amp;#39;s&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I agree the SQP qualification will be pointless.&lt;/p&gt;
