This is what makes our job so interesting! I love hearing other stories. My favorite call at the RSPCA was a lady ringing to say there is a bumble bee in here house and what should she do as its attacking her cat. When I ask where the bee was, she replied in a hush voice "on the panadol box in the lounge room" I actually thought it was a prank radio call to start off with but she was for real.

A client of ours told us her neighbour from the tower block opposite reported her to the RSPCA for keeping Pot Bellied Pigs on her balcony in all weathers. They were statues.

i work at a vets near a fishing ponds and one fisherman rang asking if a vet could pop over to look at a duck that only had one leg and hadn't moved. before anyone could go over the man rang back saying it was ok the duck was just resting and had since moved on!

I also worked for the RSPCA. I received a call asking if I could come and 'deal' with the callers pet rabbit who had died overnight. Errrrrr . . . no.

Having worked for the RSPCA for 5 years, I myself had a fair few unusual requests. The one that sticks in my mind was a lady rang to inform me there was a dead bird on the motorway and could I go and give it CPR?!
