I think it&amp;#39;s about your employer allowing a separate entity (the union) to work alongside management to specifically assist employees with change/problems and negotiate change/problems. This is possible without recognition but the &amp;#39;entity&amp;#39; (i.e. union) is not allowed on-site so might (usually?) expose the employee to difficulties in the negotiation as they have less &amp;#39;protection&amp;#39;? (Have I got that right anyone?!). Does the BVA afford recognition protection to its members? Is this just a union thing? Need more info.. oh dear.&lt;/p&gt;
