well as it is the RCVS registering these practices maybe the RCVS may be a good place to start if you are looking for a list of training practices?

Student numbers may be up be we have been inundated at work with requests for placements for the 2nd year of the qualification as loads of practices have aken these people on for free placement in their 1st year and then wont offer them a placement to complete. I fear many will have to drop out as there are not the placements for them while there are many practices exploiting the first year students getting them to work for nothing.

can I make a correction here. The NVQ was not abolished by the government it is still being taught in other professional subjects. Our qualification as I understand it was up for review and the new qualification was adopted primarily on a funding issue if I understand it correctly, whilst the NVQ for others may also disappear in the future this was not the reason for the new qualification.

Was really pleased to read this yet i am 27 and still looking for a training practice that will take me on please can you forward the new 30 training places cheers Andrea x
