Do veterinary professionals and members of the public differ in terms of attitudes, expectations and knowledge as to the role of the veterinary practice in the care of healthy stray and escapee dogs?

This project is being undertaken by veterinarian Lingyi Wang who is a postgraduate student on the MSc Applied Animal Behaviour and Animal Welfare at the University of Edinburgh, and is supervised by Registered Veterinary Nurse and BVNA Member, Dr Louise Buckley (Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies) alongside Dr Belinda Vigors (SRUC).

The aim of this study is to better understand the attitudes, expectations and knowledge of veterinary professionals and members of the public with respect to the role of the veterinary practice in assisting with the care of healthy and uninjured stray and escapee dogs.
