BVNA are extremely excited as this year the association aims to reach out to more practices, vets, colleges, schools, organisations and members of the public than ever before.
There are many ways you can help! As well as the traditional waiting room displays, open days and careers evenings, there will be daily Facebook posts scheduled detailing the varied roles carried out by veterinary nurses and we are hoping that you can help by sharing these as much as you can.
Plus this year there is a new initiative, we're asking for your help in making a quick video (no longer than 30 seconds) which explains ‘Why RVN’s Are Important To You’!
All videos will then be shared via social media during the month of May, to highlight the importance of the RVN role both to the general public and also within the veterinary profession.
BVNA President, Wendy Nevins says "I would like to encourage everyone to do their part in helping increase the awareness of Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month and the importance of the RVNs role in practice. The more videos we post and share the greater the awareness, so please take part and help the profession celebrate Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month 2018!”
On the 1st May this initiative will kick off with a video from Veterinary Surgeon Stacey Blease – Trustee of AWF.
You will find guidance notes below to help you with the filming:
We look forward to seeing your video's and helping spread the word about our amazing profession!
