In February 2018 we have a vacancy for an experienced Registered Head Nurse to join our friendly team. We are a busy and well-established independent RCVS accredited practice situated in South London and are committed to delivering the best care for both our patients and clients.

ABOUT YOU
You will need to be a registered VN, with good organisation skills, confident and good at communicating with both colleagues and clients. You will have excellent patient care and clinical skills.

THE ROLE
As Head Nurse you will be involved in all routine clinical nursing and hospital management including our pharmacy. You will also run your own nurse clinics as well as being responsible for the four other members of our nursing team, with full support from our Practice Manager and Head Vet.

HOURS
The role is based at our Gipsy Road branch. Average 40 hour week. Shifts are Monday to Friday, working Saturday until lunchtime on a rota basis shared with 3 other nurses, with time off in lieu the following Friday afternoon. No OOH or on call.

PACKAGE
We offer a competitive salary starting from £27,000 but negotiable dependant on experience. Pension contributions, CPD allowance, 28 days holiday

PART TIME ANIMAL CARE ASSISTANT / ADMIN POSITION

Person Specification

We are looking for someone flexible and friendly with previous experience of working with animals in a similar position. As the role also includes reception duties you will need to have excellent customer service skills and empathy with our clients.

The role

You will be responsible for supporting the team, taking care of the well being of pets by maintaining a clean and hygienic environment at all times, assisting with animal handling, working at reception and providing support to the Veterinary Nurses, Veterinary Surgeons and Practice Manager.

A brief summary of duties is:

· Restocking consulting rooms

· Animal Handling

· Processing blood samples in our in house laboratory

· Sterilising of Equipment

· Reception work

· Wholesaler ordering

· Computer Work including excel and word.

· Cleaning

· Laundry

This is a part time position minimum 25 hours per week. The rota will require you to work between both our branches, with a 2 in 4 Saturday rota.

By joining us you will be part of a team dedicated to providing a consistently high standard of clinical care to our clients and their pets.

Salary will be based on experience.
