Due to an ever-expanding case load, we are looking for two enthusiastic and well-motivated RVNs to join us in our growing & forward-looking practice. If you are looking for a job with a team that really do support and look out for each other, then you should keep reading!

Our nurses have further qualifications in feline medicine. Schedule 3, anaesthesia and acupuncture. As a practice, we have a keen interest in orthopaedics and dentistry, and our vets are certificate holders in feline medicine, ophthalmology, and internal medicine. We are also a Training Practice for our SVNs and we hold the ISFM Silver Award. We take a proactive approach to caring for our team with regular health & well-being sessions, either in more formal events (such as VDS training, WellVet etc) or our very informal social nights.

We have a passion for excellent customer care and a reputation that matches it. We have a satisfying and varied caseload with plenty of opportunity for nurse clinics. We are well-equipped with dental x-rays, DR radiography, ultrasound, full in-house lab facilities and separate cat/dog/isolation wards.

Ideally, we are looking for a full-time cover but for the right person, this would be negotiable and hours can be flexible. Normal working hours would include 4- or 5-day week with an equal share of Saturday morning clinics (currently 1:3, 8.30am-12.30pm) & no on call or out of hours work. A Clinical Coach qualification would be beneficial but not essential as we will provide training.

CPD is fully funded with no set limit and actively encouraged with support from senior members of the team. We want our team to learn and grow, so support is a given.

RCVS/VDS membership paid, contributary pension scheme, 28 days annual leave and salary reflective of experience.

Pay is commensurate with experience, in the range of £21,000-27,000 with yearly appraisals and pay reviews.

If you would like to apply, please email with your CV to fiona@westportvets.com or call for an informal chat to find out more 0131 331 3451
